Three standout members of the Arkansas Razorbacks softball program—Karlie Davison, Robyn Herron, and Raigan Kramer—have earned spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. This prestigious recognition honors student-athletes who have achieved academic excellence while also contributing significantly to their teams’ athletic performance.
For Davison and Herron, this marked their first appearance on the Academic All-District list, highlighting a major academic milestone in their collegiate careers. Kramer, however, was recognized for the second time, having previously earned the honor in 2023. Herron and Kramer also reached an additional level of academic prestige by being named Academic All-America Finalists. This designation advances them to the national ballot, where members of CSC will vote to determine the Academic All-America first-, second-, and third-team honorees. The results of this vote will be revealed on June 17.
Davison has made an immediate academic and athletic impact since transferring from Utah. In her first academic year at Arkansas, she achieved a perfect 4.00 grade point average while majoring in Organizational Management and Leadership. She earned places on both the Dean’s List and the Chancellor’s List, recognizing her as one of the top students in the university. On the softball field, Davison compiled a batting average of .272, recording 41 hits, 11 doubles, five home runs, and 23 runs batted in (RBIs), amounting to 71 total bases. Her on-base percentage stood at .360, and she was a consistent contributor with 13 multi-hit games during her junior season. As a defender, Davison led the team in assists with 105 and added 81 putouts. Her efforts in the infield were backed by an impressive .989 fielding percentage, reflecting her reliability at second base.
Herron, a junior majoring in Public Health, also excelled academically and athletically. She maintained a GPA of 3.67 and earned Dean’s List recognition three times during her tenure at Arkansas. She is a two-time member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Spring Honor Roll. On the mound, Herron delivered a dominant season with an 18-7 win-loss record, three saves, and a 2.72 earned run average (ERA). She struck out a team-leading 160 batters over 144.0 innings and held opposing hitters to a .195 batting average. Herron’s final win of the season came in a critical game against Oklahoma State on May 18, when she pitched a six-inning complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits and striking out two. This victory helped propel Arkansas to the program’s fourth Super Regional appearance. Her season totals included team highs in wins (18), complete games (11), shutouts (4), strikeouts (160), and innings pitched (144.0). Her performance earned her a Second-Team All-America selection by both Softball America and D1 Softball, as well as Second-Team honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region and All-SEC.
Kramer wrapped up a stellar four-year career with the Razorbacks, showcasing her consistent excellence in both academics and athletics. Academically, she upheld a flawless 4.0 GPA while pursuing a major in Recreation/Sports Management and a master’s degree in Construction Science. She was an eight-time honoree on the Dean’s and Chancellor’s Lists. Additionally, Kramer earned recognition on the SEC Spring Honor Roll twice and was included on the First-Year SEC Honor Roll as a freshman. In her final season, Kramer posted a batting average of .297, with 44 hits, seven doubles, two home runs, 26 RBIs, and 55 runs scored. Her 52 walks contributed to a career-best on-base percentage of .483. On defense, she played left field with consistency, recording a .979 fielding percentage and 93 putouts. Kramer’s ability to get on base helped her accumulate 123 career walks, the second-highest total in Arkansas program history. Her achievements on the field earned her a spot on the SEC All-Tournament Team and Third-Team NFCA All-Region honors for the 2025 season.
To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, nominees must meet several stringent criteria. Student-athletes must participate in at least 90 percent of their team’s games or start in a minimum of 66 percent of contests. For pitchers, the requirements include either pitching at least 35 innings or making a minimum of 17 appearances. Nominees must also be at least sophomores in both academic and athletic standing and hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. These standards ensure that only the most dedicated and high-achieving student-athletes are considered for this honor.
The recognition of Davison, Herron, and Kramer underscores the strength of Arkansas Softball not just as a competitive team, but as a program committed to academic excellence. Each of these athletes has demonstrated the ability to balance the rigorous demands of collegiate sports with academic achievement at the highest level. As the final Academic All-America selections are set to be announced on June 17, Herron and Kramer remain in the national spotlight, representing both Arkansas and the Southeastern Conference on the national stage.
These honors speak to the culture of excellence cultivated by Arkansas Softball, where student-athletes are supported in thriving both on the field and in the classroom. The accomplishments of Davison, Herron, and Kramer serve as a testament to their hard work, discipline, and commitment and they provide a model of what it means to succeed as a student-athlete at the highest level of collegiate competition.
