Alabama football continues to dominate the transfer portal with the addition of Texas A&M offensive lineman Kam Dewberry. The former Aggie brings size, experience, and versatility to the Crimson Tide’s offensive line, a key area of need heading into the 2025 season.
Dewberry, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 300 pounds, was a highly touted recruit in the 2022 class, ranked as the No. 81 overall prospect. During his time with Texas A&M, he appeared in 34 games, primarily at left guard, earning Freshman All-American honors in 2022.
The Tide are expected to benefit greatly from Dewberry’s experience, particularly with the likely departure of Tyler Booker, a projected first-round NFL Draft pick. Dewberry’s ability to play both left and right guard provides Alabama with critical flexibility on the offensive line.
In 2024, Dewberry played in 12 games for the Aggies, taking offensive snaps in 10. His performance at left guard helped solidify A&M’s interior offensive line. In 2023, he started three games and showed his ability to step up in high-pressure situations, including key matchups against LSU and in the Texas Bowl.
With one year of eligibility remaining, Dewberry has the opportunity to make an immediate impact for the Crimson Tide in 2025. This transfer further demonstrates Alabama’s strength in attracting top talent to sustain its dominance in college football.
